What Is Detox Liver Supplement?

Detox Liver Supplement is a traditional Chinese herbal formula designed to support liver health, natural liver detoxification, healthy circulation, muscle and joint comfort, sciatica support, lower leg comfort, fluid balance, and overall vitality.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Liver maintains the smooth circulation of Qi and Blood while supporting healthy tendons, muscles, joints, emotional balance, and the body’s natural detoxification processes. When Liver function becomes imbalanced because of Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, or Qi stagnation, individuals may experience body aches, muscle stiffness, lower back or sciatica discomfort, calf cramps, fatigue, puffiness, digestive sluggishness, and sensations of internal Heat.

Heat and Dampness accumulating in the Lower Burner may also interfere with healthy circulation, fluid metabolism, and the nourishment of the lower back, hips, thighs, and legs. This pattern may be accompanied by dark urine, increased thirst, a bitter taste in the mouth, body heaviness, reduced energy, or discomfort radiating through the lower body.

Detox Liver Supplement contains carefully selected medicinal herbs traditionally used to clear Liver Heat, drain Damp-Heat, promote healthy Qi and Blood circulation, support natural detoxification, and maintain healthy muscles, tendons, joints, and lower extremities. It is commonly chosen by individuals seeking traditional herbal support for liver wellness, body puffiness, muscle and joint discomfort, lower back and sciatica patterns, calf cramps, healthy circulation, and long-term vitality.*

Suggested Combination for Liver, Fatty Liver, Digestive and Musculoskeletal Support

For individuals seeking traditional herbal support for fatty liver concerns, Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, body puffiness, digestive sluggishness, bloating, fatigue, or heaviness, Detox Liver Formula is commonly paired with Spleen Support. When muscle, joint, tendon, lower back, or sciatica discomfort is the primary concern, Detox Liver Formula may also be paired with Arthritis Formula.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, fatty liver patterns may involve Spleen Qi deficiency, Dampness, Phlegm accumulation, Liver Qi stagnation, and Damp-Heat. When the Spleen cannot properly transform food and fluids, Dampness and Phlegm may accumulate, while constrained Liver Qi may further interfere with digestion, circulation, and healthy metabolic balance.

Detox Liver Formula is traditionally used to clear Liver Heat, drain Damp-Heat, promote healthy Qi and Blood circulation, and support the body’s natural detoxification processes. Spleen Support strengthens Spleen and Stomach Qi, supports digestion and nutrient transformation, promotes healthy fluid metabolism, and helps reduce the accumulation of Dampness and Phlegm.*

Arthritis Formula is traditionally used when Liver imbalance occurs with muscle, joint, tendon, lower back, or sciatica discomfort. It provides additional support for healthy circulation, mobility, flexibility, and comfortable physical movement.*

Together, Detox Liver Formula and Spleen Support provide a broader TCM approach for supporting healthy liver function, fatty liver wellness, digestion, fluid metabolism, Qi circulation, and overall metabolic balance. The appropriate combination depends on the individual’s underlying TCM pattern and accompanying symptoms.*

Benefits of Detox Liver Supplement

Supports Healthy Liver Function and Natural Detoxification*

Detox Liver Supplement is traditionally used to support healthy liver function and the body’s natural detoxification processes. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), balanced Liver function supports healthy Qi and Blood circulation, digestion, fluid metabolism, muscle nourishment, and overall wellness.

Supports Fatty Liver Wellness and Metabolic Balance*

From a TCM perspective, fatty liver concerns may involve Spleen Qi deficiency, Dampness, Phlegm accumulation, Liver Qi stagnation, and Damp-Heat. This formula supports Liver balance, healthy circulation, fluid metabolism, and the body’s natural cleansing processes when these traditional patterns are present.

Helps Clear Liver Heat and Damp-Heat*

Liver Heat and Damp-Heat may contribute to body heaviness, puffiness, dark urine, bitter taste, thirst, digestive sluggishness, and sensations of internal Heat. This formula is traditionally used to clear Heat, drain Dampness, and restore healthy internal balance.

Supports a Healthy Inflammatory Response*

Damp-Heat and impaired circulation may contribute to swelling, stiffness, muscle discomfort, and reduced physical comfort. Detox Liver Supplement supports a healthy inflammatory response already within the normal range while promoting mobility and everyday wellness.

Promotes Healthy Qi and Blood Circulation*

The smooth circulation of Qi and Blood is important for nourishing the muscles, tendons, joints, and lower extremities. This formula is traditionally used to promote healthy circulation while supporting Liver function and whole-body comfort.

Supports Muscle, Tendon, and Joint Comfort*

In TCM, the Liver stores Blood and helps nourish the tendons, muscles, and joints. Detox Liver Supplement is traditionally used to maintain flexibility, joint mobility, muscle comfort, and healthy physical function.

Supports Lower Back, Hip, Sciatica, and Leg Comfort*

Liver imbalance, Damp-Heat, and impaired Qi and Blood circulation may affect physical comfort throughout the lower body. This formula is traditionally used to support lower back comfort, hip mobility, sciatica-related wellness, and healthy leg function.

Supports Healthy Calf and Leg Muscle Function*

Calf cramping, muscle tightness, leg weakness, or reduced flexibility may accompany insufficient nourishment or impaired circulation. This formula supports healthy calf and leg muscle function, comfortable movement, and lower-body wellness.

Promotes Energy, Vitality, and Long-Term Liver Wellness*

Healthy Liver function and balanced Qi and Blood circulation help support energy, resilience, and physical vitality. Detox Liver Supplement may be incorporated into a long-term wellness routine to maintain liver health, natural detoxification, circulation, muscle comfort, and overall internal balance.

Individual results may vary. Improvement may develop gradually as Liver balance, circulation, fluid metabolism, and digestive function are supported.

Common Signs You May Benefit from Detox Liver

This formula is most appropriate for Traditional Chinese Medicine patterns involving Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, Dampness, Phlegm accumulation, and impaired circulation of Qi and Blood. These patterns may also be considered when fatty liver concerns occur with digestive weakness, body heaviness, bloating, fatigue, or poor fluid metabolism.

Body Puffiness and Fluid Retention

Individuals may notice swelling, puffiness, water retention, or a heavy sensation throughout the body. In TCM, this pattern may reflect Dampness, Damp-Heat, and impaired transformation and movement of fluids.

Whole-Body Aches, Inflammation, or Swelling

General body aches, muscle soreness, joint discomfort, stiffness, warmth, or recurring swelling may occur when Damp-Heat obstructs the normal circulation of Qi and Blood. These patterns may affect mobility, physical comfort, and everyday activity.

Lower Back, Hip, and Sciatica Discomfort

Discomfort may begin in the lower back or buttocks and extend through the hips, thighs, or legs. Traditional Chinese Medicine may associate this pattern with Dampness, impaired circulation, and imbalance affecting the Liver channels and lower body.

Leg Weakness or Calf Cramping

Individuals may experience calf cramps, tight leg muscles, weakness, fatigue, or discomfort during activity or rest. In TCM, healthy Liver Blood and circulation are important for nourishing the muscles, tendons, and lower extremities.

Fatigue, Sleepiness, or Restless Sleep

Liver imbalance, Dampness, and impaired Qi circulation may contribute to low energy, daytime sleepiness, reduced stamina, difficulty falling asleep, restless sleep, or waking during the night.

Bitter Taste, Dry Mouth, Dark Urine, or Internal Heat

A bitter taste in the mouth, dry mouth, increased thirst, dark or concentrated urine, or sensations of internal Heat may accompany Liver Heat and Damp-Heat patterns. Individuals may also feel unusually warm or become uncomfortable in hot environments.

Digestive Heaviness, Bloating, or Sluggishness

Fullness after eating, abdominal bloating, sluggish digestion, reduced appetite, or a heavy sensation after meals may indicate Spleen weakness with Dampness accumulation. These signs are especially relevant when liver or fatty liver concerns occur with digestive imbalance.

Reduced Flexibility and Muscle or Tendon Tightness

Tight muscles, tendon stiffness, reduced flexibility, or discomfort during movement may develop when Liver Blood and Qi circulation do not adequately nourish the muscles and tendons.

Fatty Liver Concerns with Dampness and Phlegm Patterns

From a TCM perspective, fatty liver concerns may correspond with Spleen Qi deficiency, Dampness, Phlegm accumulation, Liver Qi stagnation, and Damp-Heat. Accompanying signs may include body heaviness, abdominal fullness, fatigue, bloating, puffiness, sluggish digestion, and difficulty maintaining healthy metabolic balance.

Individuals with chronic, recurring, or long-standing Liver, Damp-Heat, or fatty liver patterns may benefit from combining Detox Liver Supplement with Spleen Support or other formulas selected according to the individual’s constitution and accompanying symptoms.

Diet and Lifestyle Tips for Liver Health

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy Liver function depends on the smooth circulation of Qi and Blood, balanced digestion, proper fluid metabolism, regular elimination, and emotional balance. Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, Qi stagnation, poor digestion, irregular sleep, and excessive rich foods may contribute to heaviness, fatigue, muscle tension, digestive sluggishness, and reduced vitality.

Daily Habits to Support Liver Health

For best results while using Detox Liver Supplement:

  • Eat balanced, appropriately portioned meals at consistent times.
  • Choose warm, freshly prepared, easily digested foods whenever possible.
  • Stay physically active with walking, stretching, Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga, or other regular movement.
  • Maintain a healthy body weight through balanced nutrition and consistent activity.
  • Drink warm or room-temperature water regularly throughout the day.
  • Maintain regular bowel movements to support the body’s natural elimination processes.
  • Get adequate rest and follow a consistent sleep schedule, ideally from approximately 11 PM to 7 AM.
  • Manage emotional stress through meditation, deep breathing, relaxation, or other calming activities.
  • Stretch regularly to support healthy muscles, tendons, joints, and circulation.
  • Allow adequate time for rest and recovery after strenuous physical activity.

Foods & Habits to Limit

Individuals experiencing Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, digestive sluggishness, or body heaviness may benefit from limiting:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Highly processed foods and snacks
  • Greasy, oily, or deep-fried foods
  • Fatty or heavily processed meats
  • Excess sugar, sweets, and sugary beverages
  • Refined carbohydrates and oversized portions
  • Excessively spicy, pungent, or heavily seasoned foods
  • Pickled, heavily preserved, or highly salted foods
  • Burnt or heavily charred meats
  • Smoking and tobacco products
  • Frequent late-night meals and overeating
  • Prolonged inactivity and irregular sleep habits

Foods Traditionally Supportive of Liver Health

A balanced diet may include cooked leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, beets, carrots, mushrooms, whole grains, legumes, berries, pears, apples, soups, and other fiber-containing foods appropriate for the individual’s constitution and digestive tolerance.

Adequate hydration, balanced portions, and regular intake of cooked vegetables can support digestion, elimination, fluid metabolism, and healthy circulation. Garlic, ginger, and other warming foods should be used according to the individual’s TCM pattern, especially when signs of excess Heat are present.

Supporting Liver Health from Within

Traditional Chinese Medicine recognizes that Liver-related imbalance may involve Liver Qi stagnation, Liver Heat, Damp-Heat, Blood deficiency, Blood Stasis, or disharmony between the Liver and Spleen. Supporting Liver health therefore involves more than temporary cleansing; digestion, circulation, emotional balance, sleep, elimination, activity level, and the individual’s underlying pattern should also be considered.

Consistent meals, balanced food choices, proper hydration, regular movement, quality sleep, emotional balance, and healthy digestion can complement a traditional Chinese herbal wellness routine and support Liver function, natural detoxification, muscle comfort, circulation, and long-term vitality.

Individual needs may vary according to constitution, digestive tolerance, health status, and Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern.

100% Natural

Our herbal supplements are made with natural honey as the binder. Honey can support the lungs, intestine, spleen, and stomach; It works as a natural preservative with antibacterial and healing properties. Unlike other herbal supplement companies that use starch, magnesium, and other chemical substances as binders for their supplements, we only use 100% honey. We also avoid using vegetable capsules because they require chemical components to form the capsule shape.

Peak Harvest Herbs

The herbs in our herbal pill blends are harvested at the height of their potency and they are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre-or post-season, but in our view, there is no substitute for premium quality.

Ann's Story

If you feel skeptical or unsure about Chinese herbal remedies, I could hardly blame you. I wasn’t a believer either—not until my daughter became very sick and my father, a fourth-generation herbalist, helped guide our family through her recovery with traditional Chinese herbs.

I was born into a family of herbalists. My father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather were all herbalists. I represent the fifth generation of this long family lineage, which dates back to Imperial China.

When I was three or four years old, I began learning herbal songs and how to identify different herbs. As I grew older, my father taught me how to process herbs while I worked in his clinic in Vietnam.

After we immigrated to the United States, my dad asked whether I wanted to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine as an herbalist or acupuncturist. I told him, “No, just leave me alone, Dad. I will find something I enjoy doing for work.” So he left me alone to find my own way.

I wanted nothing to do with herbal medicine until I gave birth to my second daughter, Catherine, who was born with severe gastric reflux. When Catherine was only 10 days old, I had to take her to the emergency room because she couldn’t keep milk down. She received fluids through an IV in her tiny hand. In addition to vomiting, she was also having diarrhea. Catherine was losing nourishment from both ends, and her little body was becoming smaller and weaker.

At the time, my dad warned me, “She needs to be treated with herbal medicine, or she may have seizures later.” I didn’t fully understand what he was telling me, so I ignored his warning.

My daughter became so ill that she could only drink half an ounce of milk each hour. Before feeding her, I used a syringe to give her Zantac to help reduce the vomiting. As time passed, she needed to be fed more frequently and consequently received Zantac more often. By the time Catherine was eight months old, she needed to be fed and medicated as many as 11 times a day.

I could hardly sleep, eat, shower, or rest. Even at night, I had to drape my daughter over my shoulder so she could sleep. If I put Catherine down, she would vomit. I barely had time to take a five-minute shower once or twice a week. I was exhausted, but what could I do? I had to care for my daughter and do my best to survive each day, hoping she would get better—or at the very least, that her condition would not worsen.

Catherine had to wear a turtleneck, two sweaters, a baby cap, and a scarf whenever we went outside, even during the summer when the temperature was over 100 degrees. If I didn’t cover her, she would develop a runny nose and cough, followed by nonstop vomiting. I constantly worried about her future. How would she ever attend school or go anywhere with air conditioning?

One day, we went to a Vietnamese pho restaurant. After placing Catherine in a high chair, I turned around to adjust my own chair. Suddenly, I heard a woman shout, “Look at her!”

I looked in the direction she was pointing. It was Catherine. Her eyes had rolled upward, her entire body was stiff and shaking, and fluid was coming from her mouth. Someone nearby told me to squeeze lemon into her mouth. Frightened and desperate, I followed that advice without hesitation. Her body eventually relaxed, and we rushed her to the emergency room.

At the time, I believed the lemon had helped her. I now understand that nothing should be placed in a person’s mouth during a seizure because it could cause injury or choking. I share this only as part of what happened that day—not as seizure first-aid advice.

Catherine remained in the hospital for three days while her brain activity was monitored. I was told that prolonged seizures could be dangerous. After that experience, I lived in constant fear because I had no idea when my baby girl might have another seizure.

The seizures began occurring weekly, and the doctor prescribed anti-seizure medication. Catherine wasn’t even one year old, yet she was receiving Zantac as many as 11 times a day, in addition to anti-seizure medication three times a day. Administering the medicine was extremely difficult because whenever I took out the syringe, she would cry and begin vomiting.

I took Catherine to see a specialist at CHOC and asked, “Doctor, have you ever seen an infant with this condition get well?”

The doctor replied, “It depends. Some children grow out of it, but some don’t. If they don’t, they may have to continue taking medication.”

“What do you mean by ‘grow out of it’?” I asked.

The doctor explained that Catherine’s condition might improve naturally as she became older.

My mind was racing. I asked, “All this time, the prescribed medication hasn’t been correcting what is happening in her stomach?”

The doctor explained that the medication was intended to help keep the food down, which was why it had to be given before each feeding.

I then asked, “What if she doesn’t grow out of it?”

I was told that she might need ongoing medication. That conversation stayed in my mind and made me question whether there might be another way to support my daughter.

Feeling that I had reached the end of the path I was following, I finally turned to my dad for help.

My father recommended an individualized herbal prescription for Catherine three times a day. After everything we had been through, giving her herbs three times a day instead of administering something as many as 14 times a day felt like a tremendous relief. Even so, it sounded almost too good to be true, and I remained cautious.

During the first month of following my father’s herbal approach, Catherine began vomiting less frequently. At one point, I let her cry briefly to see whether it would still trigger vomiting. It didn’t, and that was when I first believed she might truly be improving.

After another month, Catherine was able to wear fewer layers without immediately developing a runny nose, coughing, or vomiting. Over the course of approximately three months, her reflux and seizure episodes became less frequent and eventually stopped.

This was Catherine’s personal experience under my father’s individualized guidance. It is not a promise that another person will have the same experience, but for our family, it changed everything. Today, Catherine is grown and living a normal, healthy life.

Because of Catherine’s dramatic recovery, I finally began to believe in the traditional medicine that had surrounded me since childhood. I also asked my dad to work with me because I had a long history of fainting easily, especially during the winter. My own experience with his individualized herbal approach deepened my appreciation for the knowledge my family had preserved for generations.

I began thinking seriously about everything that had happened and wanted to understand more about herbs, the human body, and the traditional principles my father had tried to teach me. I wanted answers, so I decided to study in China, where herbal medicine has been practiced and developed over thousands of years.

I attended Traditional Chinese Medicine schools in China and Hong Kong and gained experience in TCM hospitals, where I learned from highly respected herbal doctors.

While I was there, I realized that I wanted to become an herbalist. However, I also wondered how I could secure a dependable supply of high-quality herbs. My father and I traveled across China and visited numerous farming regions. We met with farmers, studied how the herbs were grown and harvested, and began establishing relationships with growers.

Our formulas are made with carefully selected herbs harvested during the appropriate season, when their traditional qualities are considered strongest. These herbs can be substantially more expensive than lower-quality materials harvested too early or too late.

After returning to the United States, I worked closely with my dad, learned from his many years of experience, and studied the formulas and written knowledge passed down through our family.

Everything I went through with Catherine helped me understand the true importance of health. Without health, it becomes difficult to think about a career, beauty, education, independence, freedom, or anything else we hope to enjoy in life.

I have now worked with many individuals and families who have struggled as my family once struggled. Their trust and heartfelt appreciation inspire me to continue learning, preserve my family’s traditional knowledge, and work even harder to help others support their health and well-being.
