Symptoms

Different individuals may experience different symptoms, including:

• A sudden and unbearable pain on one side of the back or waist
• Cramping pain in the low back, flank, groin, or abdomen
• Changes in body position does not relieve the pain
• Pain is often accompanied by nausea or vomiting, fever and chills
• Blood in the urine, painful or urgent urination
• Penile or testicular pain
