• Internal or external hemorrhoid
• Constipation or diarrhea, a sensation of fullness
• Anal itching and burning
• Hemorrhoid has prolapsed and can be seen outside the anus
• Swelling and pain, one or more hard tender lumps near the anus
• Red or dark red blood in the toilet bowl
