Interpretation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the appearance, consistency, and odor of a furry friend's stool can provide insights into their overall health and balance of Qi (vital energy), as well as the state of their internal organs. Here's how TCM interpret certain characteristics of furry friend's poop:

Characteristics: Tarry, shiny, or dark black in color.

Potential Causes: Blood loss in the gastrointestinal tract, excess Heat, or stagnation in the Stomach or Liver.

TCM Interpretation:

  • Blood Stasis: Impaired blood flow leading to internal bleeding.
  • Stomach or Liver Heat: Excess heat damaging blood vessels.
  • Cold Stagnation in the Stomach: Leads to poor circulation and stool discoloration.
