Exercise daily to keep your body and immune system strong.  Consume larger quantities of foods high in lutein and zeaxanthin these substances are potent antioxidants.  Foods high in these compounds include carrots, dark, green leafy vegetables like kale, green leaf lettuce and beet greens, egg yolks, squash, peaches and sweet potatoes.  It is best to avoid eating uncooked (raw), greasy, and pungent food, seafood such as shrimp and shellfish, and chocolate. No smoking, drinking alcohol, coffee and cold beverages.
